  14. 1.5 tsp minced ginger
  15. Black pepper

Instructions to make Lettuce 🥬 Siew Mai

  1. Mince chicken breast by hand or in mini-chopper
  2. Chop shiitake mushrooms and lettuce into small pieces. Add in minced pork and chicken.
  3. Add all marinade ingredients into 2. Mix well.
  4. Blanch lettuce 🥬 for wrapping till soften. I place 1 cm of water into a large frying pan and place the lettuce in it. Then cover and let it steam fry for 5 mins.
  5. Wrap meat mixture with lettuce. Place in the same pan and pour water over it. Cover with lid and steam fry for 8-10 mins. Done!
  6. Instead of water, I used the water that I soaked my dried shiitake mushrooms in for even more flavour.
